Creation, invitation-only entry, secrecy, and account-wide belonging.Any authenticated Account that does not already belong to a Secret Society may create one through the website at no cost. Creation makes that Account the initial Leader.

Ranks, Rights & Identity
Private hierarchy, authority, Charter, and the curated wax Sigil.A society has two to five ordered ranks. Backend-validated rights can authorize invitations, expulsion, promotion, demotion, rank and permission management, chat moderation, Charter modification, and Sigil modification.

Departure, Leadership & Chat
Leaving, leadership transfer, dissolution, access, and moderation.Their active membership ends immediately. They lose roster, management, and chat access and become eligible to create or join another society. The Account and its unrelated affiliations remain intact.
Link to this answerThe Leader must first transfer leadership atomically to another accepted member. The recipient becomes the sole Leader, and the former Leader becomes an ordinary member who may then leave.
Link to this answerDissolution is permanent hard deletion. It erases the society, memberships, ranks, rights, invitations, Name, Charter, Sigil configuration, private channel, messages, and society-owned moderation state. There is no archive or recovery.
Link to this answerAccepted members can read and send according to current access. Rank-authorized members may moderate society chat, and established Founder or Governance moderation retains authoritative oversight. Pending invitees, outsiders, former members, and expelled members cannot access it.
